St Cronan?s Association provides day supports to more than **Apply

centres in Roscrea, Birr, Nenagh, Templemore and Newport.

We are expanding and recruiting for a new role leading our Corporate
Services function. This is a senior role reporting directly to the
Board Finance Director on all financial matters and the Services
Manager on all other affairs. The successful candidate will contribute
to the strategic direction and growth of St Cronan?s Association.

with expertise in finance, management, systems and processes.

JOB PURPOSE

The Corporate Services Lead is a senior management position in St
Cronan?s Association. The person appointed will oversee the
organisations financial systems and controls, prepare and monitor the
annual budget (**Apply on the website** ? ?2.5m), manage staff
assigned to the Corporate Services function, support payroll
modernisation, manage the risk and asset registers, oversee
procurement, support the company to meet statutory requirements and
support the development and implementation of policies and ICT
systems.

ROLE CRITERIA

The successful candidate will be required to possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS

_ESSENTIAL_

* Full or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CPA, or
qualified ATT) with strong financial management experience and/or a
degree in Business.

EXPERIENCE

_ESSENTIAL_

* At least two years? experience of preparing financial reports to
include income and expenditure, balance sheets and cash flow
forecasts.
* Proficient in financial accounting and reporting, including
external statutory reporting and audit.
* Use of financial accounting software e.g. SAGE.
* Experience of producing end of year accounts.
* Experience of leading an organisation wide budgetary process and
development of key assumptions underlying the budgets.
* Ability to produce reports for a range of audiences.
* Proven ability in implementing and monitoring financial controls.
* Experience developing and implementing financial policies.

_DESIRABLE_

* Experience in the not-for-profit sector preferred.

KNOWLEDGE

_ESSENTIAL_

* Good working knowledge of finance software systems and MS Word,
Excel etc.
* Good working knowledge of GDPR.
* An understanding of ICT system infrastructure.

_DESIRABLE_

* An understanding of SORP.

SKILLS

_ESSENTIAL_

* Motivated self-starter who can take ownership and lead with
confidence.
* High level of ICT competence including advanced level Excel
skills.
* Excellent communication skills to include the ability to
communicate with staff at all levels of the company including the
Board of Directors (who may not have a financial background) as well
as the people our service supports.
* Demonstrated organisational skills with acute attention to detail.
* Flexible and adaptable with the ability to hit the ground running
and take ownership of role and modernise processes as required.
* Demonstrated ability to drive delivery to meet deadlines.
* Fluency in English with excellent communication and organisational
skills.
* A strong work ethic.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Permanent position available subject to satisfactory completion of
